2 weddings and a fungi

My brother Mikey married Becca Jo in Logan Utah on August 19th.

Our good friends ( and by coincedance cousins) had thier oldest

daughters wedding reception in Monterey

August 25th

We enjoyed helping with the food and seeing friends!

Don't even get me started on the canceled flight problems.....then we got home, and found this gigantic mushroom growing in and around our water outlet box... wierd!

This is what we call a "Catch up" blog entry.

We have been back State side for a mere three weeks. The first weekend we sent Dan back to Spain and the following 2 weekends we were traveling to these weddings. Then we get home and its the house...you know no rest for the weary!

Back to the grind????

You know, after a less crazy space a flight home I was prepared to feel "Hum- drum" about getting back into the swing of normal everyday life.

So I decided to look for the little things that are exciting everyday. Like: A cooling rootbeer in the fridge means Dan was home for a few days! Its great to have that partner to make the boring more fun!

We sliced open a watermellon the other day and found on accident we had bought a yellow watermellon. We had never eaten one before - it taste just like a watermellon!

The kids have thier first day back to school wich always brings adventure...new clothes, pencils, notebooks. You will have to ask Tori about her adventure in folders!

(Paige 4th grade Mr. Fay)

(Seth 6th grade Mrs. Rooker)

(Logan - H.S. Senior - did I just say that????)

(Tori H.S. Sophmore)

Ahhh where has the time gone. One thing I am gratful for is we have definatly spend some great time together in this family! We have fun!

So, just as I resigned my self to boredom at home, I remember my work of heart. I have a goal to own a childrens cooking school and I have worked this summer on curriculum and on a whole system of operation. Now for marketing finding a location, and starting classes in my home and hopefuly soon I will have enough to open a multi kitchen classroom!

No boredom, hum drum here!

.....But I think you would have guessed that!
