The Mystery at Strode Castle....

DUN Dun DUNNNNN......

It's a real who done it!

So the Boy woke this morning.. a little later than his normal and came down stair indignat and questioning who had put chunks of hair in his bead while he slept. Of course all the girls (Quite belivably) claimed it wasnt them, why would they put hair in his bed. On close examination (Putting on my mediator hat) I realized the hair came from his own head. Giant chunks of his hair missing. NO ONE claims to know anything about this. Paige is sure she didnt do it. (She is honestly a heavy sleeper- when shes out...shes out) Logan is the only one I can think of with a motive because of the menuer he put in her bed. However she is not a good actress (she admits to having a problem curbing her enthusiasum when some thing great happens). Tori and Seth are great performers so I have it narrowed to them.

I have the Boy shower, we gel his hair every which way to hide the gaps and send him off to school. Once everyone is gone I begin my investigation.

(Putting on my Sherlock Holms hat) I look at the pillow and the trail of hair on the floor. I think of how Seth used to sleep walk and wonder. I also think of how light a sleeper Seth is and how it would be next to impossible for some one to cut his hair with out waking him. Also to think of the chunk of bangs missing as well as the chunck in the back of his head....wierd!

I find the only pair of scissors I can find in the entire upstairs ....on Seths desk. I pull them out....littered with tiny shreads of hair.

HMMMM! Well, I think the "Who done it" is solved, but the real mystery remains...why?

The gold hooped earings

I loved to put on earings and necklaces, ohh... especialy rings, I love rings. Yet there came a time when getting my self dolled up on a daily basis (as much as I enjoyed it) just wasnt practicle. Between the house hold chores and the babies, and when Dan was gone the lawn and other jobs that needed to be done I was lucky if I got a shower and put on some sweats some time in the day.
Everyone told me I would miss this time in my life, when the kids were little and always around. I would look at my bleached sweatshirt (from Laundry) and my spit up covered sholder (from one baby or another) my pile of things I'd like to do cause I'd enjoy it vs. my pile of things I have to do or we will live in a squaler and wonder what on earth they were talking about. What would I miss about this?
It was about this time that I decided I had to do something to look like I was some what put together when I took the kids to Piano lessons, or Gymnastics. In actuality I was barley making it there with the littlest still in a poopy diaper, taking 20 minutes to buckle everyone in the car and get there before the lesson time was half way over.
I chose small gold hoops. I put them in my ears and they looked like I had an extra 5 minutes which must mean I have it all under controll. A small pair of pretty earings made my sweats look better. My sweet husband would agree with me (because it made me feel better) and tell me he actualy liked the sweats. It's a good thing cause that was about all I could manage!
The earings never came out- I didnt in reality have an extra 5 minutes!
I wore them day and night, shower, sleeping or swimming! The only time they came out was because I lost them. I would promptly buy another pair and on I would go!
I was getting dressed yesterday and put on a pair of brown earing that matched my shirt.
I had to do a double take. Wait where did my gold earings go?
I looked through my jewlery box, I looked through my make up bag. I couldn't find them. When did they dissapear? How long ago did I take them out for something more colorful? How long have I been getting dressed every day and doing my hair and enjoying it?
I looked down at my clothes, jeans, a nice blouse, some smart shoes, a matching hand bag....wait there are several colorful handbags in my closet.
I thought for a good 20 minutes about my list of things to do because I want to vs I have to. It's not so long, I can have lunch with a girl friend kid free! I can run to the store and make it back in 10 minutes...I have an extra 5 minutes here and there.
I Survived! I made it through. I made it back from the sweats!
Ask me again this time next year, but as of now I wouldn't want to go back to the puky smelling bleach stained, hair in a pony tail days!
I love my children to death, but I love them in this stage just as well, and I smell better!

My daughter is a brother

Yes, that little boy is my daughter!

This weekend we went to the Mountain Ridge
High Schools presentation of "Our Town"
She played the part of Wally. A little brother to the main charicter Emily.

She did so good. As far as acting goes there is so much that goes into every twitch of your face when you are performing. For anyone who knows Tori, she's about as feminan as they come.

This was truly an acting job for her and it was great. I was so proud of her and so excited for her to be enjoying this hobby. The fun strange traditions of the theater, and the excitment of the applause for a job well done!

She's so fit for it and enjoy's it so much - and it shows!

Way to go Tori!

Going to the movies in style

My sister and her hubby took me to
the movies for a late birthday present. It was so much fun it was worth blogging about.
First off no one under 21 is allowed in the theater wich cuts down on movie distracotions in a huge way. Then if you (like most people) plan on a movie and dinner, no need to go to more than one place. It's a resteraunt as well. Yep, a swing side table and a waitress to serve you at ever seat. Oh...speaking of the seats- reliners! Huge comfy leather recliners that lay all the way out!
Just incase you didn't belive me...I took a picture of my legs in the reclined position!

We ate buffalo wings, crab dip, chocolate brownie sunday, as well as had fancy strawberrie smoothies. They were all served to us Recliner side as we watched our movie and relaxed. After wards we were given a warm towel and a gourmet chocolate mint!

I do not often go to the movies to see something I want. Usualy it's for the kids, but I am sure the next time I want to realy see something...I'm doing it in style!

Thanks Katie & Bryan for spoiling me!
