Babies, babies and more babies!

We are loving having all these babies around. Sure when we were traveling far from family, we found lots of babies to love on, but it just isn't the same as when they are your babies!
Luci, Lexi, & Zoey

To be honest with you I don't know where the new found attitude comes from. I have a sticky mess of finger prints all over my Ipod, and pen ink all over my bed sheets. Theres a box of baby toys permenatly in my living room and I have diapers and wipes taking up space in my cleaning supply closet.....Frankly- I don't care.
There little voices that say "ant lela" or just "L" and the tiny hands that reach up for me,there little kisses, and giant gummy smiles and love of the snacks that hide in my cupbords....it's all worth it!

Easter Eggs, and Baskets

Actual painting of eggs!
Some small little gifts and a bit of candy.
An egg hunt with money filled eggs and thats how this family (thats advancing in age) celebrated Easter morn.
The off to a wonderful Sunday of rejoycing in the amazing miracle of eternal life!

Helping others while dreamimg

It would be great if it were that easy all the time! This time it was, well...it was exhausting, but the good kind of exhausting!
So I have this dream I own a children's cooking school and everyday I get to teach kids how to cook fun new things and we hang out in my kitchen together and get excited when someone learns how to crack an egg with one hand. We do games like we see chefs do on TV and talk about the "best food " we ever ate!
Oh...wait thats real!
So this weekend we copied food network in supporting "Share our Strength" and had a "Great American Bake Sale" We had a bake contest and my students worked on creating thier own original recipes. They each participated in a one hour shift at the bake sale and talked about thier cause, thier school, and cooking with all the shoppers at our bake sale.
I was so proud, expecialy when I tasted thier original recipes. They are learning and expanding!
Our goal was to raise $300 for the subsidised lunch program "Share our Strength" Our current total is $270.60, however we had been offered "Ill make a donation" comments we are going to follow up on in order to hopefully reach our monitary goal.
Even though the dollars didn't come to the amount we hoped, the students far exceeded my expectations and I couldnt be prouder!
