Vietri Sul Mare

Dan's job has had him traveling like a crazy man. Every week for the last several weeks he has been gone 4-5 days. It has been rough holding the fort down and missing his cute mug. So when he got home this time (before he leaves again on Monday) I roped him into a pretty shopping date in
 Vietri sul Mare.

We had a lovely lunch. Do you see that oil bottle with the lemon tag. Oh my that was some yummy lemon flavored oil! Goodness!

After our lovely caprese salad, we had this eggplant parmesan for an appetizer.  YUMMY!

Then ravioli. Dan had just normal ravioli, I had lemon ricotta with butter and sage sauce. DELICIOUS!  The kind of delicious that you drip all over your shirt (Yes I did) because you barely stop short of licking your plate! (No- I didn't lick the plate)

This particular pottery shop that we went into looked like it was carved out of an old building and that we were looking at the foundations of the building it self. I asked the owner how old the building was and he told me 1k years old.

Lovely date in Vietri Sul Mare

The Dolamites

When we first moved here two years ago (almost) Tori had wanted to go to the Dolomites because she had read a book and that was the setting. We didn't make it out before her mission, but we did plan a trip after she came back. Seth and Paige had gone to Germany with a program called Creative Connections for artistic kids from the DOD schools across Europe. So the three of us took off for a short adventure!

We stayed at the Air force base near the mountain region and spent an entire day driving up the mountain and stopping at little towns on the way enjoying the view and the food and a nice walk or two! It was just beautiful weather and beautiful scenery.

Tori teased about how she was meant to be the only child and she really enjoyed the visit.

Our duck friends

At the top town we stopped at a chocolate factory and had a very decedent snack.

The next day we got roped into going to Verona and meeting up with one of Tori's friends.
It was a beautiful city but the weather was a bit dreary. I suppose that is fitting for the town of Romeo and Juliette.

Cool city building with Italian flags.

Always love cute alley ways in Italy

Cant get this guy to make a normal face for a picture!

Tried Horse for lunch

With Tori's "Friend" Mattia

Dan in the middle of Mattia and Tori hahahaha!!

Do not know why, but it is good luck to touch Juliet's breast....???

Well good luck Dan!!

Home Coming 2018

We were rather fortunate this year, Seth's homecoming Tennis match and The homecoming football game that Paige's Flag line performed at were at the same park. We just walked back and forth and saw them both doing there thing! It was a lot of fun!

Seth is also working on the Yearbook this year so he was pretty busy between tennis and taking photos.

Pre- game preparation. The girls did their flag routine to the band playing phantom of the opera songs.

Seth and his duo partner Matthew

After the game Seth and his friends were going to come to the house for a bon fire and video game night. (none of Seth;s friends wanted to go to the dance) However we had a lovely flat tire on the way home. Dan was excited to fix that on the way home with a car full of teens!

Paige and her friends however were very excited to get dressed up and go to the dance!
