A new family member

Rewind to 1999 

We are sitting in an LDS chapel in Arizona visiting my family for Christmas, and there is a cute family sitting in front of us , a girl who was friends with my sister Katie, little twins and a couple of red head boys. One of which was good friends with my little brother Mikey.

Years and years later Mikey and that red head boy are great friends, lots of adventures and missions, college,  even went to the same school after their bachelors to get a law degree. Really good friends.

Now fast forward to 2013- 2014

 Logan would come home from college, and hang out at the house for the summer. Mikey would be around, some times that red head boy would come along. Sometimes Logan would go to institute and she would run into the boy, Mikey warned her "DO NOT LOOK AT MY FRIEND"

Strange because it was the last thing on her mind. She would make eyes at him when Mikey was looking just to get a rise out of Mikey. I saw her tease Mikey a few times and enjoyed it because he is such a tease himself.  The red head boy came to Tori's graduation party and Logan had a boyfriend over. He was a family friend that had been around for years and it was not unusual in anyway.

January 2015-

Logan was feeling better from her accident and wanted to leave our basement. She went back to school in AZ and because I was worried about her getting into a rental contract and it not working out so well, I asked Mikey if Logan could use his spare room for a semester. He agreed and was kind enough to host her for the semester.
He warned her again about dating his friend and she once again said (with rolled eyes) "OK... Mikey"
She dated a bit and the red head boy hung out at his best friends house a bit......maybe a bit more than normal.
Thats when Logan noticed he was actually cute and fun and they had a lot in common and she looked forward to him being over and enjoyed his company.
So with permission from Mikey... Yes, Uncle's give permission???. Dates began and then I received a text "I think Parker Stanley is great, and I have a huge crush on him"

June 2015

Logan has more surgery in NY, and come to KC to recoup. A secret plane ticket is purchased, a plan to send Logan and Tori on a limo tour of the Jazz sights of Kansas City to end at a famous fountain.

We smile - " Have a good time girls- enjoy the tour" and when the car is safely down the street we run around and clean for company. Set out clean towels, scrub the tub and put an extra chair at the dinning room table.

Dan and I drove to the airport and Dan ran into the baggage claim and do you know what he found, a tall red head man. We drove this man to the J.C. Nichols fountain in Kansas city in his suit and a large bouquet of flowers. He nervously stood and waited for the jazz tour to end at the fountain. He peered through the fountain shoots to see the two girls and their driver enjoying the view. Then they circled to his side. Logan said to Tori " Aww look at the guy with flowers" and Tori said " You don't recognize him?"

It's Parker....
(Huggs, kisses, giggles, bending down...)
"Logan Marie, will you marry me?"
