First time in 60 years

Well it was two days of no school for a few inches which seems silly to us when we have lived in much colder environments. The Neapolitans don't drive well in rain so I was totally fine with staying off the roads to not witness how they drive in snow.

Of course the kids were more than happy to miss school, sleep in, play in the snow and drink hot chocolate. It was an extra school break in February that no one planned
on but were all too happy to enjoy.

We had flurries here once before (in the years we've lived here) but nothing ever stuck and here we got inches!

The day we finally went back to normal schedule there was still some snow hanging around and we went through the gate at base to drop the kids off at school. Paige commented on how it felt like it should be Christmas and then wished the gate guard "Merry Christmas" He laughed and wished her the same.  It was a fun surprise!
