Seth and I discover Kansas:
There doesn't seem to be a huge competition between grocery stores. We really only saw one or two names in stores. This was at "price choppers" the most common store. this large circles are from their logo.
Seth was forced to take a picture with them.
We attended the Irish festival in KC, and saw a U2 tribute band
Seth was tortured with the "OLD" music and Mom and Dad singing along.
He did enjoy the rides and fun food at the festival!
Why shouldn't the fountains be green all the time, not just for the Irish fest?
These are "Irish Nachos" its home made potato chips with shepherds pie filling and sour cream and jalapenos on top.
Crown Center is a mall for kids, so fun! Chocolate factory to watch candy being made, a children's live theater, toy stores, little girls nail salon, Lego discover and giant shop, aquarium, Crayola café and so much more!
Seth got a chocolate Lego man! Yum!
Labor day in Leavenworth brings a car show called:
Greasearama-the west's first punk car show
Fritz's is a train memorabilia restaurant. There are trains running through the restaurant, and above the tables. You order via phone and then the train carries your tray to your table and drops it on another tray which lowers and serves you.
We saw an exhibit of artifacts from a true sunken pirate ship with real treasure! It was cool, but no pictures allowed.
Next trip we plan on seeing the space exhibit!
