3rd time is not the charm

Pisa has always been one of my favorite places. We went for the first time when Seth was only 6 months old. WE sat in the cool grass in the shadows of the tower and enjoyed the history, the art of the tower and the architecture of the other buildings. We would have the kids run and stretch their legs and visit the small vendors selling leather goods and many things with the Italian flag on it. It was relaxing and enjoyable!

It was quite masterful of me to take this picture without any other tourist in the picture.
When we went to visit years ago the tower was under construction for cleaning and refacing and it is looking great! Just beautiful!

Look at these posers, and all the tourist too (Yes I am aware I am also a tourist!)

But look... No grass sitting. NONE, no shopping vendors, no little families relaxing on the grass. Lots of tourist standing on the cement and of course making that pose where they look like they are holding up the tower.

It is really a beautiful place, and such pretty architecture! Just not for sitting at at enjoying anymore.

These bozo's liked it all the same!
