Personal Progress

The Young womens auxilary at church has a program called "personal progress" . This program has the girls set and accomplish goals in the areas of :Faith, Divine nature, Individual worth, Knowledge, Choice and accountability,Good works,Integrity,Virtue.

The areas each demand a few accomplished goals of choice a few required activities and a project that takes 10 hours. All of these must be finished from the time you turn 12 until you turn 18.

I want to exress the magnitute of this. It is rated next to as hard to achieve as an Eagle scout award. It includes reporting to leaders and being aproved for projects, Kick off programs in January and wrap ups in the Fall, keeping with in the value areas spiritual guidlines.

Not to mention the meaning of these areas alone are things the average teenage girl would find abstract and foriegn.

Tonight was one of those wrap up meetings, the girls brought in a small sample of the projects they have been working on and show them in a display. They shared how they felt about setting and accomplishing goals .

Tonight was Logans last "Young woman in excelence" She sang this beautiful song and I am so proud of her having accomplished the entire program and will be recieving her award.

She's an amazing young woman!
