We were able to see some monuments to friends of the Mormon pioneers, a "Mormon" room in a town museum as well as the graves of the Three Witnesses. It was a great start!
While at the museum we found a whole stack of old fashioned crutches. It was kind of novel for our "hob along" to notice them. She did well on the tour, with just a few rests in the car.
Another outing lead us to St Joseph's for a taste of some Mediterranean food. On our way there we spotted this large free standing ice cream cone. Well of course we would have to return to check it out. With our bellies full of Gyros, we went to try it out.
So much fun! 50's music played and we sat in the perfect night air eating our yummy sundae's and humming along. Some of us (me) knew the words and sang.
YUMMY!
It was time to REALLY celebrate fall! We drove to Louisburg and enjoyed the Fall festival. There were lots of vendors, a crisp wind in the air. Some country music, and of course fresh pressed apple cider!
Apple Cider doughnuts and both hot and cold apple cider, It tasted so fresh and wonderful. Like biting into the juiciest apple. We brought jugs of it home with us!
( If you are interested in how the apple cider was pressed you were able to look indoors at the machine that chew up those apples and spit out the juice!)
Happy Fall You All!
haha! I love that Logan spotted the crutches.
