Capri

WE have not yet made the trip to Capri because we have heard from so many people how expensive it is, so we decided we would wait until we had some company who wanted to go and we were lucky that Andrea and Iliana had wanted to go while they were here!
It was a lovely mother daughter trip!

Once we arrived via Ferry, we took a boat ride along one side of the Island.

lovers lock a pad lock around the fences in various romantic over looks around Italy and toss the key to the sea for their love to never be unlocked!

The blueness of the water is beyond describable

stuffed zucchini flowers deep fried

smaller boat rides allowed us to go up and slightly into some of the caves in the area

This is called the white grotto because of all the stalactites and white rock. If you look closely enough you can see someone carved the Mother Mary out of some of the rocks.

We visited the Augustus Gardens at the top of the hill on the Island

When visiting capri please be sure not to get stuck in the doors. half in and half out while to doors are shutting is not advisable according to this sign that we found.

Cute girl I took with me on the trip!

The Caprese salad comes from the island of capri so if you have one there then you are sure to get it made properly!

This is the Coral grotto. If you look close to the walls where the waves break you can see all the coral on the side of the rocks. This is one of the great souvenirs to buy from Capri.

we saw several perfume shops on capri, this by far was the cutest, but also a fun souvenir.

Just beautiful!
